We support industry and academia with expertise in electrical power systems

Mission

  • Maintain a team of professionals trained in specific areas of work.
  • Have a well-equipped power laboratory in line with national needs.
  • Build a specialized library. Transfer knowledge at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Support the technical training of professionals outside of IPSEP. Carry out technical studies and consulting work to solve specific problems in the field of protection.
  • Develop devices, materials, and technologies suited to national requirements.
  • Promote the application of modern technologies and methodologies in our electrical systems.

Advanced Electrical Protection

IPSEP works primarily in protection and related areas, spanning teaching, research, and outreach. In carrying out this work, it relies mainly on its personnel; several of whom hold postgraduate degrees earned abroad, and on its infrastructure, which includes the largest power laboratory in Argentina, with traceable calibrated equipment under the ongoing supervision of the Organismo Argentino de Acreditación (OAA), Argentina's national accreditation body. 

Its teaching role stands out in particular: beyond its members teaching courses in both undergraduate and graduate programs, IPSEP is highly active in training staff at distribution companies.
